Send Love to Africa
In March 2019, Cyclone Idai made two landfalls in southeast Africa, causing catastrophic flooding in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. Tzu Chi volunteers in these countries started their relief operations in the immediate aftermath, with the dedicated support of fellow volunteers from South Africa.
The Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation has set up the Cyclone Idai disaster relief programme, which included the distribution of emergency aid supplies, provision of medical aid and healthcare, rebuilding of homes and schools, etc. It has also launched a worldwide donation drive in aid of the disaster survivors. To support its relief efforts, Tzu Chi Merit Organization (Singapore) is holding a fundraising drive from 15th April to 31st May. You generous donation will make an impact to the lives of the impoverished cyclone victims. Tzu Chi’s founder, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, hopes that the Foundation’s humanitarian aid efforts will help light up the future of the needy and destitute in the affected countries
