Someone asked,” As a cancer patient, I feel miserable every day, how do I minimize my suffering?”
The Master answers:
If you can see pain as a test and do not let yourself be indulged in the misery of pain, you will be able to find joy. Let’s take an example, a patient who is undergoing rehabilitation may suffer pain in the process, the patient may feel discouraged due to the pain. Nevertheless, pain is an indication that the body is healing, it would be worrying if one could not feel pain or do not have any sensation in his body during rehabilitation. It may take a long time for the body to heal, this is when we need to be courageous and persevering. The more one endures, the faster one will heal. However, if you aggravate the pain by thinking too much about it, you will end up having both physical pain and psychological problems. It is therefore better to accept your pain and overcome the pain. The more we focus on resisting the pain, the greater we magnify and strengthen the pain. If we change our perspective, we can move through pain in troubled times.
