Good Deeds Involves All – Blood Donation Drive at JMC

27 March 2010 marks a significant day for the annual quarterly Tzu Chi Blood Donation Drive. The ambiance surfaced during the drive at Jurong Medical Centre (JMC) served as a platform in gathering the community’s compassion. A total of 90 public members actually gathered their courage and took their first step towards becoming a blood donor. Though not all were able to, each had within them an inborn Tzu Chi spirit and compassion to give and help others.

Tzu Chi to Begin Aid Distribution in Chile

The Chilean air force flew 45 tons of aid for the Tzu Chi Foundation from the capital to the southern city of Concepcion on 25 Mar for distribution two days later. It will be the Foundation’s first aid distribution in the South American country.

The 2010 Parent-Child Bonding Class had commenced in March. Dressed neatly in dark blue trousers and wearing name tags prepared by the Tzu Chi “aunts” and “uncles”, the lovely children were eagerly waiting to start the first lesson with their dad and mom on 21 Mar morning.

‘Funeral Donation’ Donated Upon Commissioner’s Last Wish

On 11 Mar 2010, a gentleman visited Jing Si Hall and donated the ‘funeral donation’ collected in his sister’s funeral to Tzu Chi Singapore. It had been the wish of Sister Chen Hui Li, senior Tzu Chi commissioner from New Jersey, USA, to donate her wealth to the Foundation.

Second Medical Outreach to Sri Lanka – Joint Effort by Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka

A Flying Start for TIMA Sri Lanka

Last August, Tzu Chi held its first free clinic in Sri Lanka’s southwest Ratnapura district. After six months, a second free clinic lasting three days was held again at the same location. Besides the visiting Singapore and Malaysia personnel, 60 local medical staff also joined in to serve their countrymen.
