The annual Year-End Blessing for Tzu Chi Foundation (Singapore Branch) was held on Christmas Day at Kreta Ayer People's Theatre. More than 4000 Tzu Chi volunteers and supporters joyfully attended the four ceremonies held first time outside of Singapore branch office.

On 18 Dec, a group of national servicemen attracted the gaze of many when they entered the blood donation area in Jing Si Hall. Under the encouragement of their officer-in-charge, they came together to donate blood and it was their first time donating blood for some of them. Overall, the donation drive collected 136 pints of blood and the addition of 13 new donation members.

During the yearly Great Love Charity Fair of Tzu Chi Foundation (Singapore Branch), the Tzu Chi youth volunteers are often responsible for promoting environmentalism and demonstrating how to produce DIY eco-enzyme, among other things, at the exhibition area. To prepare for the event, the youths ventured into business districts to seek donation of brown sugar (an ingredient of the enzyme) from grocery shops. Much to their surprise, they hit their target within merely half an hour!

Today, Mr and Mrs Andiriyes reunite with their daughters and grandsons who they haven’t seen for ages; and Ajith finally meets his sisters and nephews. The daughters thank the Tzu Chi volunteers bashfully, feeling grateful for Tzu Chi for taking care of their parents and for cleaning up their parent's house. But what they most appreciate is how Tzu Chi volunteers had "led them home" with their warm hearts.

In early December, Tzu Chi Singapore Branch began making 5200 red envelopes of Blessings and Wisdom red envelopes to be given out to guests during the Christmas Day Year-End Blessing ceremonies. Volunteers from East district gathered at Jing Si Hall on 12 Dec after the monthly recycling activity to fill the red envelopes with their wishes and blessings.

On 10 December, Mr Hsiao Yi-chun, the manager of Da Ai TV's Production Centre and producer of the epic animation "The Great Master Jian Zhen", was invited to share his film-making experience in Tzu Chi Singapore's Jing Si Hall.

Tampines East Zone ‘1’ celebrated its annual Clean & Green Week on 5 Dec 2010 with a Recycling Day at the basketball court in Tampines Street 21. Tzu Chi Foundation (Singapore Branch) was invited to collaborate with the zone's Residents' Committee (RC) to hold an eco-exhibition to engage more residents to come forward to conserve the environment.

Thinking about the approaching rainy season, Charlis and his wife couldn’t help but feel worried. Tzu Chi volunteers in Hambantota, Sri Lanka decided to gather the help of the rest of the villagers to build a house for the old couple. Three weeks of giving and with the contribution of almost 100 shifts of villagers building from scratch, the cozy house was finally completed!
