We are the young bodhisattvas,
We take the Buddha’s mission as our own.
We are the young bodhisattvas,
We shall pass on the spirit of Tzu Chi.
Tzu Chi Teenagers’ Class is conducted every 4th Sunday of the month by a group of committed and loving volunteers. By incorporating humanistic value in the activities, it is hoped that the growing teens learn to do good and be of service to others.
During the year-end holidays, a teenager camp is organized for the Tzu Chi Teenagers’ Class. Besides building team spirit, the fun and lively camp activities such as game stations, talks, drama and video viewing also serve as spiritual nourishment and promote reflection among the young.
The group also visits the Leprosy Home and participates in the ‘Caring Day for the Lonely Elders’, where they learn to appreciate their youthfulness while being taught about the impermanence of life. The establishment of the Teenager Class also provides a channel for children graduating from the Tzu Chi Children Enrichment Class to continue their education in an environment of ‘Truth, Goodness, Beauty’ whilst shaping a wholesome character.
