Characteristics of the Centre

Tzu Chi’s humanitarian culture is reflected in its courses, emphasizing not only the imparting of knowledge and skills, but also cordial human relationships. Ultimately, it aims to cultivate good thoughts and guide students to learn with pleasure and inculcate wisdom.

In the Continuing Education Centre, friendly volunteers play the role of Tzu Chi’s humanitarian teacher. They assist in classroom management so as to allow instructors to impart knowledge without interruption. At the same time, students will feel more at ease while learning. Master Cheng Yen sincerely hopes that volunteers will go the extra mile to be a teacher, an adviser, a caregiver and more importantly, an advocate of Tzu Chi humanitarian spirit.

At the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate from the Taiwan Tzu Chi University Continuing Education Centre as a motivation to continue with life-long learning.
