On July 20, 1967, a newspaper promoting Buddhism and the good deeds done by people was first published. Its four pages focused on soliciting donations, but it brought more public confidence for Tzu Chi, which was still quite unknown at that time.
By November 1996, the monthly had published 360 issues and sent out 202,000 copies to members of the foundation. Because of its varied contents and lively layout, it has established a good reputation among Buddhist publications.
